Qualified Horticulturist/ Bush Regen/ Propagation expert

Wombine is looking to expand into more propagation and start a bush regen business.

An opportunity exists for an experienced and qualified horticulturist/Bush regen/propagation on the central tablelands NSW.  As an existing business for over 30 years, existing contracts with large chains and retail customer base already exists.

The role requires someone who has a minimum of 5 years experience as a production horticulturist/Bush Regenerator/ Propagation expert and who is confident in being jointly responsible for managing all aspects of a large wholesale nursery or start up a Regen arm of the business.

This includes:

  • Accountability for plant production
  • Comprehensive knowledge of planting and chemical management /application – pest and disease control programmes
  • Supervision of existing staff
  • Production forecasting and record keeping
  • The ability to make decisions on plant nutrition
  • Someone who is highly motivated and detail orientated
  • The ability to think on your feet and to manage conflicting priorities in a timely fashion
  • The ability to work alone and liaise with clients
  • Demonstrated work ethic, reliability, punctuality and honesty
  • Someone who is physically fit and willing to put in long hours when necessary

Bush Regeneration:

  • Diploma of Conservation and Land Management
  • Conduct site surveys, develop restoration plans as per scope of works and see them through
  • Proven 3 – 5 Year field experience in regen work
  • Write detailed reports, Set out a scope of works plans
  • Maintain work health and safety processes
  • Good skills to liaise with government dept and customers
  • Supervise employees and contractors to carry out works correctly
  • Self-motived person essential.
