We are looking for a Regional Program Coordinator to lead all aspects of the delivery of Parks Victoria’s biodiversity recovery functions within the Eastern Region!
About the branch
The Regional Services Division is responsible for the service delivery of initiatives, programs and services. On-ground works and services will conserve environments, protect culture and heritage, manage visitor facilities and improve opportunities and support fire and emergency management. The Regional resources will support environmental, social and economic outcomes for rural, regional and urban communities.
Each region consists of a diverse range of parks and reserves. Staff working within the region are responsible for providing efficient and effective implementation of a broad range of often complex park management functions including natural, cultural and built asset management, visitor management and services, stakeholder management, park planning and emergency response.
About the role and your responsibilities:
As the Regional Program Coordinator (Biodiversity Recovery), you will be responsible for all aspects of delivery of biodiversity recovery functions within the region. This includes delivery planning, financial and resource management (human resources, facilities, assets, systems and staff training and development) in accordance with Parks Victoria's policies, procedures and objectives. The position includes responsibility for coordinating a service which is adaptable, flexible and responsive to community needs and key stakeholder expectations.
You will lead, support and manage Parks Victoria operations and resources within defined functions to deliver cost effective, timely, quality and an appropriate range of services to meet the requirements of projects across a diverse range or areas, including environmental works that are to be delivered as part of defined projects. You will also contribute to and assist in the development, implementation and review of District Operations to enable Parks Victoria to match service delivery with community and stakeholder needs to ensure optimum performance. The position will clearly and concisely communicate functional objectives and delivery plans with the District Managers and Area Chief Rangers negotiating key delivery milestones.
