The Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture are looking for a dynamic and motivated leader to undertake the duties of Chief District Ranger, Central Australia Parks – West, based in Alice Springs.

Our parks and reserves protect the natural, cultural and historic features of the Northern Territory. We’re offering you the opportunity to join our motivated and professional team.

The Chief District Ranger for the West District is responsible for Tjoritja/West MacDonnell National Park, Finke Gorge National Park and Owen Springs Reserve. These areas are rich in history and Aboriginal culture and include popular attractions such as Simpsons Gap, Ormiston Gorge, Palm Valley and the Larapinta Trail. This is your chance to coordinate conservation, visitor management and interpretive programs and work in partnership with the Traditional Owners.
