About you

This is an exciting opportunity for a successful business development leader to join our team as we scale up our environmental and social impacts.

Your role is a motivated, innovative and astute Business Development Manager with previous national exposure and a desire to exceed expectations. You are commercially minded, decisive and organised with an entrepreneurial attitude.

Experience in environment or commodity sectors is desirable but not essential. You are a self-driven professional with a commercial background and an ability to align customer needs with solutions.

Specific Functions

The Seed Services portfolio includes commercially focussed business entities and sector specific projects. The Business Development Manager will maintain a national footprint across our existing operations with interests in all states.

The role will be required to travel interstate periodically while working closely with the Director on strategic planning and execution.

The role will be responsible for all operational aspects of the National Seed Services businesses:

  1. Work Health and Safety
  2. Business development
  3. Relationship management
  4. People and culture

Requirements to be successful

  • At least five years’ experience in sales and business development.
  • Proven track record of winning business in chosen sector.
  • Tertiary degree qualified.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team, show initiative and to work unsupervised.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in liaison with clients and partners, including the mining and infrastructure sectors, local and state government and relevant consultants/researchers.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
