Seeding Natives is a registered environmental charity. We are an innovative not for profit organisation that specialises in ecological restoration from the ground up! We believe that restoration starts with direct seeding the diverse ground layer, the native grasslands.

We are seeking a casual field technician to assist with a range of duties. It is essential the applicant has a minimum of 1.5 years industry experience in a related field (eg. bushcare, horticulture, agriculture). We are a growing organisation and anticipate that the regularity of hours will increase, however the hours required may vary greatly from week to week on an as needed basis.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Weed control
  • Direct seeding
  • Seed collecting
  • Seed production

Essential criteria:

  • White Card
  • Hold a current class C drivers license and have own transport
  • Pest technician license (weed control) or Chemcert
  • Basic plant identification skills (natives and weeds)


  • TAFE/Tertiary qualifications in a related field
  • First aid certificate
  • Experience with manual vehicles, trailers and 4wd
  • Experience with tractors and machinery
  • Mechanically minded
  • Hold a medium rigid truck license

Our depot is based in Mt Pleasant and the majority of the work is located in the Adelaide Hills and Barossa. However, we do work throughout the state. Applicants must be available to start on short notice.
