Total remuneration package includes base salary $106,346 pa. - $118,468 p.a. + super & leave loading (Environment Officer Class 9). Full-time. Temporary up to 30 June 2021 (possible extension subject to funding)

About the Role:

Coordinate and implement delivery of high quality and cost-effective operational community engagement strategies and approaches that promote awareness of community engagement programs and optimise program outcomes in response to identified customer needs.

Essential requirements:

Current Australian Drivers licence

To be successful in the role, ideally you will have:

  • Ability to persuade and influence through written communications and media
  • Background knowledge in ecology and/or conservation
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and your colleagues
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience in developing, delivering and evaluating communication plans and/or community engagement strategies

Agency overview

The Planning, Industry and Environment Cluster brings together the functions from the former Planning & Environment and Industry Clusters.

The new Cluster will drive for greater levels of integration and efficiency across key areas such as long-term planning, precincts, housing, property, infrastructure priorities, open space, the environment, our natural resources – land, water, mining – energy, and growing our industries. In particular, there will be a redoubling of emphasis on regional NSW.

A Recruitment Pool may be established for future roles with similar focus capabilities. The Recruitment Pool may be available to hiring managers from Planning and Environment Cluster and other NSW Public Sector agencies over a 12-month period.
