The Geelong Landcare Network is a voluntary, community-based network supporting local Landcare groups. The Network covers an area of approximately 2,000 square kilometres west of Geelong which is within the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority’s area of responsibility. The constituent Landcare groups represent landholders in the City of Greater Geelong, the Surf Coast Shire and the Golden Plains Shire.

We seek a motivated person with excellent oral and written communication and management skills to work with our stakeholders to promote and implement sound environmental management practices across a range of situations, from peri urban lifestyle properties to large commercial farms.

Employed under the Victorian Government’s Victorian Landcare Facilitator Program, you will be working with Landcare and other community and stakeholder groups across the Geelong region. The position is based at the Network’s office at Inverleigh.

The job requires working off-site and out of hours from time-to-time, meeting with land managers, attending meetings and participating in community events.

This position would suit someone who has a passion for contributing to positive environmental change and understands the volunteering ethic through experience.

This is a 0.6 part-time position (22.8 hours per week) for a four-month fixed term, with the possibility of extension, subject to government funding. Salary is $720.00 per week plus 9.5% superannuation. A 4x4 utility is available for work purposes.
