We are looking for a Project Leader with significant field experience within the industry to assist with the implementation and co-ordination of projects.

The successful applicant will join a small professional team, and needs to be able to work with a level of autonomy whilst receiving minimal supervision. You must be a leader, adaptable and self-motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills.

You will have strong technical knowledge of local Melbourne flora along with a desire to learn and an extremely high level of safety awareness. A good level of physical fitness is essential as this position involves many aspects of manual handling. Record keeping is an essential part of this role and you need to be able to complete paperwork and records relating to the projects.


  • Weed control through manual and chemical application
  • Pest animal control including rabbits and foxes
  • Operation of boom equipment
  • Repair and maintenance of spray equipment
  • Hand weeding, mulching and brushcutting
  • Plant installation and associated activities
  • Completion of daily work records, chemical records and related project paperwork

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate 111 in Horticulture or Conservation and Land Management
  • Minimum 3 years practical experience in weed control / management techniques
  • Demonstrated weed identification skills
  • Demonstrated native vegetation skills
  • Experience in repair and maintenance of spray equipment
  • Operation and maintenance of boom equipment
  • Construction Industry White Card
  • Chemical spraying certificate (Agvet or similar)
  • Manual drivers licence
  • Excellent understanding of OH&S principles
  • Current First Aid training
  • Use of small tools including hand saws, hand drills etc.
