Location:

Salary etc:

$24 - $25 per hour; Temporary

Our Client

Summer has arrived and our conservation and horticultural clients have secured a multitude of tree planting projects across Melbourne. A fabulous opportunity exists for lovers of Melbourne's outdoor spaces to work on a variety of short- and long-term assignments where your hard work will have a positive impact on our environment.

These projects are normally Monday to Friday based on a variety of government, environmental and commercial sites across Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs.

The Role

You will be responsible for planting a variety of native and indigenous tubestock/plugs and other sites may involve planting larger established trees.

Along with planting, other duties may include installing tree guards, watering, mulching and general site labouring. This work can be repetitive, physical and sometimes in remote sites but you will be working with dedicated teams where you will be making a difference.

Skills and Experience

Along with having your WHITE CARD we are seeking keen and passionate candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Conservation/Horticulture/Landscaping and Volunteer experience
  • First Aid (ideal but not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Great attitude to undertaking this repetitive but important work
  • Fit, reliable and prepared to work in our often unpredictable but great outdoors

Offer

These projects are a combination of short- and long-term assignments. Ideal for those seeking work in conservation/horticulture, in-between jobs, students and working visa travellers. Don't be deterred by the term "casual" as many short-term projects can lead to ongoing work with our clients for the right candidate.

A car and licence is necessary as these sites do not have access to public transport.

AJRecruitment would love to hear from you if you meet the above criteria. APPLY NOW, with a copy of your current resume.
