The Friends of Parks Inc. Board is seeking a person to lead its Marketing Sub-Committee.

This is a great opportunity to make a contribution to our beautiful SA parks by promoting the work and achievements of our environmental volunteers.  Friends of Parks Inc. supports 117 member groups of volunteers working statewide, both inside and outside of Parks, and provides grants, training opportunities, and promotion of their invaluable volunteer work.

This position provides leadership in developing and implementing Friends of Parks Inc. Marketing and Promotional programs.

You would work with your Marketing Sub-Committee in developing programs, promoting our work,and overseeing activities associated with our social media strategy and digital presence, including the website. There are also possibilities for e-commerce, and collaborating with like-minded organisations.

The position requires digital and social marketing experience. You may contribute your existing skills in business marketing and promotions, or develop new skills and experiences with support from our enthusiastic team. This is an unpaid volunteer position.

The Marketing Chair contributes to the Friends of Parks Inc. Board as an active Board member. The time commitment would be attending bi-monthly Board meetings (the Board meets on the first Thursday of every second month) at 5.30 pm at DEWNR headquarters, 81 Waymouth Street), and monthly Marketing Sub-Committee meetings. All our meetings can be held out of normal working hours.

We are seeking someone with a background or familiarity with current marketing and promotional approaches, and a familiarity with the digital world. You would have a commitment to promoting enjoyment of and the conservation values of our SA National Parks.
