Contract Manager, Environmental Weeding

Calling all ‘Environmental Weedos’ with supervisory / operational management experience!
Centrogen is a leading provider of open space and vegetation management solutions with almost 40 years experience delivering a range of vegetation management services to quality clients across Queensland, New South Wales, Northern Territory and Western Australia.
Reporting into the Branch Manager and working alongside another Contract Manager, you will oversee small crews that carry out rail and roadside slashing, brushcutting and activities. You will be directly responsible for contractual compliance, client satisfaction, planning and scheduling of works, quality management and the effective management, training and mentoring of team members.
In addition to the management of the above contract, you will provide oversight to the management of smaller contracts and assistance to your peer on a large rail vegetation management contract as required. It’s all hands on deck when it comes to quoting, pricing and scoping of potential new works, and this will be a secondary focus for your role.
Your organisational and client relationship management skills will be highly developed, as will be your ability to coordinate a range of operational, financial, human resources and quality paperwork associated with the management of your contracts.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate your knowledge of vegetation control, weeds, herbicides and the best methods of maintaining a happy balance with nature, all while keeping our road and rail transport corridors and crews safe, operational and attractive.
This is not an administrative role! You will balance your time and focus across administratively related tasks but will be in the field overseeing works, conducting audits, training and mentoring etc.
Competencies & Qualifications:
While not necessary, any exposure to vegetation control within rail or roadside working environments will be highly regarded.
