Title:

Short Course: Planning with Communities - Facilitation & Conflict Resolution

Advertiser:

Social & Environmental Planning Partnerships

Working across natural resource management, planning, policy, infrastructure and environmental programs means working with people - communities, landholders, Traditional Owners, agencies, industry and diverse interest groups. Strong facilitation and conflict-resolution skills are essential for navigating competing values, uncertainty and change, while building trust and shared outcomes.

This highly practical course is designed for people working in NRM, planning, policy, infrastructure and environmental management who want to strengthen their confidence and effectiveness when engaging with communities and stakeholders.

This course will be invaluable if you:

  • work in natural resource management, planning, policy, infrastructure or environmental management.
  • engage with communities, landholders, Traditional Owners or regional stakeholders.
  • manage complex, contested or high-impact issues.
  • facilitate workshops, meetings or engagement processes.
  • contribute to strategic planning, policy development or program delivery.
  • work across agencies, disciplines or jurisdictions.

This is a three-day intensive, experiential course with a strong focus on real-world application. Participants practise practical tools and techniques in a supportive environment and leave with skills they can apply immediately in their work.
